Before knowing the national parks in India. We should to what is national park and what is the criteria for a place to be a national park. National park is defined as a protected area which is owned by the state and used for conservation purpose of wildlife. According to International Union for Conservation of Nature(IUCN), there are some criteria’s that should be fulfilled by a place for it to be National Park which are:

  • Minimum are should be 1000 hectares.
  • Legal Protection.
  • Enough financial and human resource to take care of it.
  • There should be no exploitation of resources.
