The Gazette of India also known as (भारत का राजपत्र) is published weekly and is authorized by ministry of Urban Development and was founded in 1950. It is an authorized and legal document of Government of India. The Gazette of India is authentic and strictly in accordance with the government policies. Official notices and policies are declared in the Gazette of India and it is published by the Government of India press.

If we talk about how it’s work then firstly we comes to the point which body involves. It is headed by the controller of publication and is assisted by the two assistant one is Financial officer and second is Assistant Director. It employs 270 people under the guidelines of Ministry of Urban Development and its headquartered is at Nirman Bhavan in New Delhi. The Electronic version was started in 2008. If you will go to the official website. It displays a quote that says ‘India’s Growth story shall be written on the canvas of “Planned Urban Development” ‘. The Official website is www.egazette.nic.in. The published document has Gazette of India written at the top with its Hindi translation and India’s National emblem at the centre.
