Importance of yoga

What  is Yoga?

Yoga is a set of techniques, practices and discipline activities to control human mind, body and spirit. We should to know about the importance of yoga that it plays an important role in physical, mental and spiritual health. It is basically originated in India. There are many religions in India like Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, who follow Yoga.


Yoga is commonly known for only physical exercises. But is more than from only physical exercise. Yoga is combination of physical, mental, spiritual exercises. From the best practices of yoga one can change the whole thinking of life, can gain positive energy. It is very true that anyone can get success from a peaceful mind.

Types of Yoga

 1) Hatha Yoga (Physical Path)

Commonly known yoga in the West is Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga describes itself as  (ha means “sun”  and  tha means “moon”) It is combination of mind-body-spirit though practice of yoga postures, pranayama.

2) Raja Yoga (Oneness through Meditation)

Raja Yoga is a state of yoga or unity with mind-body-spirit. Meditation in Raja Yoga is the main factor to unite mind, body and spirit.

3) Jnana Yoga (Yoga of Wisdom)

Jnana means wisdom or knowledge. It is considered the most difficult and mind changing Yoga, requiring great strength of will pwer and intellect. In Jnana yoga, the mind can be sharp.

4) Bhakti Yoga (Yoga of Devotion)

Bhakti Yoga is a yogic paths to enlightenment. Bhakti means “devotion” and by this yoga one can get the mental satisfaction.

4) Tanta Yoga (Demystify)

Tantra yoga is taken from the ancient vedic and spiritual practices. The Tantrics (Expert of ths yoga) developed innovative techniques for allowing one to experience the reality.

There are too many techniques of yoga for your healthy life. If you are physically and mentally healthy the you can say you are living a healthy life. And for it we all should do yoga and follow the rules of Yoga. Before starting of any yoga technique we should understand the importance of yoga which you want to start. You can take help of yoga instructor for better result.
